Protesters storm Scott Morrison’s front yard with powerful message

A protest is under way at the gates of Scott Morrison’s Sydney residence on Monday to protest the federal government’s response to the northern NSW flood crisis.

At least eight Lismore residents have transported a tip truck full of flood-damaged possessions to be dumped outside harbourside Kirribilli House.

The protesters arrived around 7.30am on Monday morning andxjmtzyw parked their truck within metres of the Prime Minister’s home.

Australian Federal Police and local police units have blocked the road at Kirribilli Ave, making it impossible for the truck to drive directly up to the gates.

Undeterred, the protesters have instead taken to carrying items – including a rug, chairs and Elmo soft toy – to the front gates of the residence.

Radio station 2GB reported that Mr Morrison left his residence earlier on Monday and is not at home.

The protesters say Mr Morrison is responsible for the flood because of his ongoing inaction on the climate crisis.

A front door has been turned into a makeshift sign with a message scrawled across it that reads, “Morrison, your climate mega flood destroyed our homes”.
